Golden hour grove

This was a grove of trees I painted during golden hour this summer. The piece’s airiness captures my fancy, in addition to the pallet of colors contained. Golden hour really does make certain portions of trees turn golden yellow, but just as quickly as you see certain areas of the trees as yellow, the light and color change. It makes for a challenge to paint; to grasp some sensory information before the scene has passed and turned into something else. I like what came of this challenge, though.
